Last week I was asked to create an itsybitsy lion for a person's lion collection. His body was pretty easy, but the mane took me some time. Thin pieces of wire finish him off with some cute little whiskers!
And yes... I need to get back to work with some blogging and itsybitsy-ing. Thinking up something cute for Valentine's day...

Monkeying Around
A few days ago I got a request for a fun new custom! After seeing my see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil penguins (above), an etsy shopper asked if I could make the same set but with monkeys instead. The photos below is my "sketch" sculpture for the monkey set.
I've been wanting to try my hand at a monkey design for awhile, what a great excuse! A set of three itsybitsy's is practically sold! She also asked if i could do a chimp... Hmm...

Commission Central

They are an awesome local bluegrass band. This weekend they will be traveling to my hometown to play for a second time at our small town bar, and camping in my mom's backyard. I've promised at least one itsy bitsy Free Stater by the weekend, but out-did myself last night and finished two of them. To the left is Al with his dobro (slide guitar) and Corbin with his mandolin.
Below is a photo courtesy of freestaterevival.com of Corbin and Al.

These custom itsy bitsy's are a challenge, but it's fun too!

Itsybitsy Press on YouTube
My good buddy Dominic recently packed up all his belongings and moved to California with his fiance... before he left, he requested a custom itsy bitsy cute of himself. I modeled his "uker" as he calls it off of a few of my other itsybitsys. Project completed and shipped safely to sunny California, Dominic took the liberty to give me some props via his popular YouTube site. Check out his video here:
... and make sure to subscribe to his youtube feed so you can catch all his crazy ukulele antics! Trust me, you will not be dissapointed. Caio!
